a 6 units, because ab is 24units, c is halfway making like ac 12 units, d is the midpoint for ac, half of ac or 12 units is 6 units, so that would be the answer if it asked for ad or cd

so AB=24
midpoint of AB=1/2distance of ab=1/2times 24=12
AC=CB=12
midpoint of AC=1/2 distance of AC=1/2 times 12=6
AD=DC=6
