he will save less because a fraction of a fraction will always end up smaller if it isn't improper, so instead of saving 2/3 of his money, if my math is correct, he'd only be saving 1/6 of his paycheck

so 1/4 is a fraction
a fractin is less than a whole
so if he saves a fraction of what he is savind now, then he is saving only a part of what he originally saved
he is saving less
