During the Columbian exchange, people, animals, plants and diseases moved between America, Africa, and Europe.

The Columbian exchange moved raw materials, natural resources, bananas, sugar, horses, coffee, tomatoes, and cocoa. Unfortunately, diseases were part of the exchange. Native American Indians were very healthy people that did not know all the diseases that the Europeans brought to the continent. Those diseases were chickenpox, smallpox, influenza, malaria, and typhus. These diseases killed millions of American Indians and wiped out entire tribes.
