$2.04 \ 12 =.17 which means each egg costs $0.17
.17x18= 3.06 which is your answer

To find this we need to find the unit rate for each egg. To find the unit rate we need to divide $2.04 by 12. $2.04 divided by 12 equals $0.17. Now multiply 18 by $0.17 to find the price for 18 eggs. 18* 0.17 = 3.06
So the answer is $3.06
