$length=75yd\\\\width=w\\\\2w+3=75\ \ \ \ \ \ |subtract\ 3\ from\ both\ sides\\\\2w=72\ \ \ \ \ \ |divide\ both\ sides\ by\ 2\\\\\boxed{w=36\ (yd)}$
