8 + 1/5 = 40/5 + 1/5 = 41/5

3 + 4/10 = 3 + 2/5 = 15/5 + 2/5 = 17/5

--------------------------------------------------------

(8+(1/5))-(3+(4/10))

=(41/5)-(17/5)

=24/5

=20/5 + 4/5 = 4 + 0.8 = 4.8
