there is no existing solution because you answer is 0 in the end of processing it.

so
y=-1/2x^2
y=1/2
subsitute
1/2=-1/2x^2
multiply both sides by -2/1 to clea fraction
-2/2=2/2x^2
-1=x^2
the only possible answer is the compex number i
there are ZERO real solutions
