6x-1/5=3
add 1/5 to both sides
6x=1/5+3
convert 3 to fraction with 5 as denomenatory
3/1 times 5/5=15/5
6x=15/5+1/5
6x=16/5
divide both sides by 6
x=16/5 times 1/6
x=16/30
x=8/15
