Janet is buying a $28 necklace. The store reduces the price by 20% and then applies a $2 off coupon. How much will Janet pay for the necklace? Could you show the work please? I would really appreciate it.

Original cost of the necklace = $28
Percentage by which the store reduces the price of the necklace = 20%
Amount of discount given
by the store on the necklace = (20/100) * 28
= 28/5 dollars
= 5.6 dollars
So
The price of the necklace after discount = (28 - 5.6) dollars
= 22.4 dollars
Amount of discount on coupon = $2
Then
Price of the necklace after deducting coupon discount = (22.4 - 2) dollars
= 20.4 dollars
So Janet will pay 20.4 dollars for the necklace.
