A bowl contains blueberries and strawberries. There are a total of 16 berries in the bowl. The ratio of blueberries to strawberries is 3: 1. How many of each berry are in the bowl?

Answer:

12 blueberries and 4 strawberries

Explanation:

since there is a ratio of 3:1 we add the 3 together to get 4.

then we divide the 16 by 4 which will give you the number of strawberries which is 4

then, we multiply 4 by 3 and you will get the number of blueberries which is 12
