6\alpha + 6 = 60

Subtract 6 on both sides

6\alpha + 6 -6= 60-6

6\alpha= 60-6

6\alpha= 54

Divide by 6 on both sides.

(6\alpha)/(6) =(54)/(6)\\\\ \alpha = (54)/(6)\\\\\boxed{\bf{\alpha = 9}}
