Awful and terrifying. Factories were dangerous and dirty, and workers were underpaid and got 0 benefits. If they were injured the factory owners were not obliged to compensate them.

it was terrible because there were no rules regulating hours one person can work even kid could work. there were workers who cut off their finger in the machinery and in the 1800s there any rule regulating how you had to treat you employees. in the summer it was very hot and in the winter it was freezing because they had no heat or ac.
