1 m = 100 cm
14 m = 14 * 100 cm = 1400 cm
1400 cm is
greater than
140 cm
Therefore, 14 m is
greater than
140 cm.

There are 100 cm in 1 m, right?
So 14m x (100 cm/ 1m) = 1400 cm
Is that less than or greater than 140 cm?
I hope you can figure it out from here.
since 1.4 < 14, therefore, 14 m is greater than 140 cm.
