Give PT = 7x - 11 and PR = 2x + 3.

Observe that, PT = PR

\Rightarrow7x-11=2x+3

Solving for x; we would get

\begin{gathered} \text{ Collecting like terms} \\ 7x-2x=11+3 \\ \Rightarrow5x=14 \\ \Rightarrow x=(14)/(5) \end{gathered}

Hence, RT = 2 multiplied by PT or 2 multiplied by RT.

\begin{gathered} RT=2(2x+3) \\ \text{ Since }x=(14)/(5), \\ RT=2(2((14)/(5))+3)=2((28)/(5)+3)=(86)/(5)\approx17.2 \end{gathered}

Therefore, RT is 17.2
