To find the speed you use the distance formula. d=rt.
5.75=.75s
s=7 2/3
7 2/3 miles per hour
Hope this helps :)

so miles per hour
self explanatory
speed is miles per hour
miles divided by hours
per hour means per 1 hour so
miles per 1 hour
so therefor we convert it to a fraction and make the bottom equal to 1
convert 5 and 3/4 to improper fracitons fors
5 and 3/4=20/4+3/4=23/4
so we have

( (23)/(4) )/( (3)/(4) )
to convert the bottom number to one, we take it individually
3/4 times what=1
multiply both sides by 4/3
12/12 times what=4/3
1 times what=4/3
what=4/3

answe ris 4/3

to make the fraction equivilent, we must multiply the whole fraction (
( (23)/(4) )/( (3)/(4) )) by 1 or x/x or
( (4)/(3) )/( (4)/(3) )
so

( (23)/(4) )/( (3)/(4) ) times
( (4)/(3) )/( (4)/(3) ) =
( (92)/(12) )/( (12)/(12) ) =
( (92)/(12) )/(1 ) =
( 92)/( 12) =
( 46)/( 6)=
( 23)/( 3)=7 and 2/3
answer is 7 and 2/3 miles per hour
