In the systems of units and measurements, CGS :
gram
is
used to report the mass of an object. It is the mass of one cm³ of water.
In SI system one Kilogram or Kg is used. It is equal to 1000 grams.
In FPS system pounds are used to report mass.

The metric (SI) unit of mass is the
kilogram
.
On Earth, 1 kilogram of mass weighs about 2.205 pounds.
