The area of any trapezoid is

(1/2) (height) (sum of the bases) .

For the trapezoid in the picture:

The height = 15 mm
One base = 14 mm
The other base = 36 mm

-- Add the two bases.
-- Multiply the sum by the height.
-- Take 1/2 of the product.

The result is the area.

The top base is : 14mm
The bottom base is: 36mm
The height is: 15mm

First you need to add the top and bottom bases together and divide it by 2

(14mm + 36mm) / 2
= 50mm/2
=25mm

Then you need to times it by the height

25mm x 15mm = 375mm^2
