It either soaks into the ground, or it's eventually going to end up in the acquifers. Also it runs off into the creeks and rivers eventually reaching the ocean. Once it goes into the ground the water becomes ground water.

It either sinks into the ground or will eventually ending up in aquifers. It would also probably run of into creeks and rivers. Once its in the ground, its called "ground water".
