Statistic

A statistic is a supporting detail in an essay. It provides factual evidence to prove the author's claim correct. Style is way the author writes for a specific purpose. Chronology is an organizational structure. An author who writes in chronological order puts events in the order in which they occurred. Prose is everyday writing.

The term chronology is a type of detail. It came from the Latin word chronologia and from the ancient Greek word, chronos, or time, and -logia. It is the science of arranging events in the exact order of occurrence through time. Simply put, it is a timeline or a sequencing of events to better understand details of the past when studied at present. It can be a part of a periodization period and is also a major contributor to the study of history, which includes earth history, earth sciences, and the study of the geological time scale.
