What is 9/10 take away 4/10

9/10 - 4/10 is just 9-4=6 and put that over 10 so you get 6/10.  If you have to reduce just do it by 2 on both.  6/2= 3 and 10/2=5 so 2/5.

(9)/(10) - (4)/(10) = (9-4)/(10) =\boxed{\bf{(5)/(10)=(1)/(2)}}
