Yes, Zinc deficiency may result to stunted growth. It is a vital component for a healthy growth and development in children. The deficiency of this mineral may lead to different diseases like dwarfism, stunted growth, and being underweight. Zinc deficiency may also lead to poor male sperm count, low blood sugar, brain disorders, high cholesterol, eating disorders, among others.

In females, a deficiency in zinc will lead to poor quality of skin, nails, and hair. The sense of taste and smell are also affected in women when this mineral is deficient in the body.
