There is 4 gallons of white paint for every gallon of ack paint.

Answer: 4 gallons

Explanation:

From the graph , it can be seen that

For 4 gallons of black paint , the number of gallons of white paint were mixed = 16 gallons.

Also 8 gallons of black paint , the number of gallons of white paint were mixed = 32 gallons.

Since the points are forming a line , that means the rate of change must be constant.

Therefore, the number of gallon of white paint mixed with 1 gallon of black paint :
(16)/(4)=(32)/(8)=4\text{ gallons}

Hence, the number of gallons of white paint mixed with 1 gallon of black paint is 4 gallons.
