Two ways of decomposing. Expanded form.
48.297 ⇒ 40 + 8 + 0.2 + 0.09 + 0.007
48.297 ⇒ (4 x 10) + (8 x 1) + (2 ÷ 10) + (9 ÷ 100) + (7 ÷ 1000)
