The Executive Branch : A , Can Veto laws passed by Congress
They also have , power to grant reprieves and pardons & ask for the written opinions of his cabinet

Other powers of the President as head of the Executive branch are:
1) sign legislation
2) command the armed forces
3)
ask for the written opinion of his Cabinet
4) convene or adjourn Congress
5) grant reprieves and pardons
6) receive ambassadors.
