The number that is closer to zero is greater.
-3/4 and -1
Since they're both negative, the one closer to zero is -3/4, so that shall be the answer.
Answer: -3/4 is greater

' -1 ' has a bigger value, because it's farther from zero.
But -3/4 is called "greater", because it's more positive / less negative.
