The Manifest Destiny was the belief that the U.S had the right given by God to stretch land across the continent so they could influence others.

Manifest Destiny was the belief that the United States had a right to extend its territory across the country. Manifest Destiny claimed that it was the U.S.'s divine destiny to spread across the continent.
