-3/4 is the answer.

First you must make all the denominators the same = 9/4 = 9/4, 6/1 (mulitply both sides by 4) = 24/4, 3/1 (multiply both sides by 4) = 12/4. So we come out with 9/4 - 24/4 +12/4.

Then solve. 9/4 - 24/4 +12/4 = -3/4
