y = 30x

70 = 30x
70/30 = 30x/30

You read 70 pages within 2 hours and 20 minutes.

y = 30x
y = 30(3)
y = 90

An additional 90 pages have been read after another 3 hours.

Total pages read.

y = 30(2 1/3) = 70 pages
y = 30(3) = 90 pages
