5in=1.25miles
because all you have to do is multiply .25 by 5
the answer is 1.25

Since it is a directly proportional relation between the distance on map to the actual distance.

There are two roads that are 5 inches apart on the map, then to calculate the actual distance multiply 0.25 to 5 , we get
