What do animals do with the carbon dioxide produced in their cells during cellular respiration?

What animals do is that they eat that plant and they get to energy they need from it because since the equation in words for cellular respiration is
sugar+oxygen------------> carbon dioxide+ sugar+energy
energy
so that means during cellular respiration energy is being formed into food and thats what animals eat.
