Is 5 and four fifths = 5.8

5 4/5 . You need to change it to an improper fraction .
To do so you take the Whole NUMBER and the DENOMINATOR and multiply them together to get 25.
Next you add 25 and the numerator - 4 so 25+4 = 29.
Now you have 29/5

Then you divide 29 by 5 and that eqauls = 5.8 . so yes, 5 4/5 = 5.8
