In your opinion, if today's society were to be compared to a dystopian novel from the 20th or 19th century, which one would it represent and why? (This is just out of curiosity; not for any assignment)

It would most likely resemble a dystopian novel from the 20th century. An interesting example where some predictions have come true to a certain extent would be the novel from Orwell; 1984 - where the whole Big Brother idea is something similar to what is happening today.
