128 shopping carts/ 15 minutes= 8 8/15 shopping carts/minute.
Matthew can gather 8 8/15 shopping carts in one minute

128 carts in 15 mins. We need to find the unit rate, which means how many carts per minute.
128/15 = 8.53 repeating 3
Now, we can't have a decimal, but we know how many WHOLE carts he can gather.
Answer: He gathers 8 carts every minute.
