my probability of winning a raffle is 6/50. if i have bought 12 tickets, what is the total number of tickets that must of been sold?

Hmm... your question seems to be missing information. Anyways I will see what I can do to possibly answer your question. You said,"Probability of winning a raffle ticket is 6/50." That means for every 50 raffles that are put in, let's say a box, you only get 6 winning raffles. I guess you meant to say, "If you put in 12 raffles, what is the chance of getting a raffle that wins." If you put in 12 raffles then the probability of having a winning raffle is only 1.44. I found the answer by setting up a proportion problem 6/50 = x/12. Multiple 6 by 12 and then divide by 50 and you get the answer 1.44 - I hope that helps!
