An Executive Agreement is an agreement made between the United States and a foreign government which is not subject to ratification by two-thirds of the US Senate as the Constitution mandates. These sort of treaties usually involve administrative matters and are pursued by an act of Congress.

An example of an Executive Agreement is the North American Free Trade Agreement, which was a treaty signed by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The treaty came into effect on January 1st, 1994.
