China has a socialist government.
Some of the characteristics unique to China:
The head of state is at the same time the head of the Communist Party. There is no other partys contending , so it is considerated a one party system.
The People's Republic of China is considered a socialist republic, however on the economy it runs as a capitalist country. Some improvements had been done to democratize the governmental apparatus. Beijing or Pekin runs the administration in a very centralized country. Interesting to notice is the special treatment given to Hong Kong and Macao. These territories have sovereignity on decision making in regard to monetary policy, some public policy, law and limited state interference.
