Step-by-step explanation:

A risk factor is a specific variable that stimulates the appearance of diseases. In other words, it's a variable that increase the chances to get diseased. For example, smoking is a risk factor, stimulates the appearance of ling cancer.

There are so many types of risk factors, but we can classify them as follows:

  1. Behavioural: it relates with the specific actions, lifestyles. The person who is in risk, can make a choice, to chance his behaviour or not.
  2. Physiological: this risk factors are directly related to an individual, his perception, choices and some biological variables.
  3. Demographic: this depends on population, overpopulation represents a risk factor.
  4. Environmental: it represents a multidimensional risk factor, can be physical, chemical and biological. For example: access to water.
  5. Genetic: Some diseases are genetic, which also represents a risk factor.
