How did islam change the way the ghazu worked

The ghazu were known as raids or military expeditions, in which warriors would plunder surrounding villages. After Islam was established, the ghazu became religious warfare, often led by the prophet Muhammed. Thus, the objectives of the Ghazu largely changed.
