white socks = 8
blue socks = 4
black socks = 6
Total # socks = 18
Ratio of White Socks to the total number of socks. It can be shown in three forms.
1) Using ":" to separate the values ⇒ 8 : 18
2) Using "to" instead of ":" ⇒ 8 to 18
3) Writing it like a fraction: Part to whole ⇒ 8 / 18
