12 is 15% of a number so this number is 12/15x100= 4/5.100 = 80
35% of 80 is 35/100x80 = 35/5x4 = 7x4 = 28

Suppose the number is N
15 % N = 12
N * 15 / 100 = 12
N = 12 * 100 / 15 = 80

35 % of N = N * 35 / 100 = 80 * 35 / 100 = 28
