15% is equivalent to the fraction 3/20 so you must divide 140 by 20 then multiply by 3 to get the final answer of 21 students. Hope this helps :D

We have an equation: ?/140= 15/100
Cross multiply:
100*?= 15*140
⇒ ?= 15*140/100= 21
21 students earn the Presidential Physical Fitness Award
