(5,8) ⇒ x = 5 ; y = 8
y = kx
8 = k5
k = 8/5 ⇒ 1.60 in decimal and 1 3/5 in mixed fraction.
To check:
y = kx
y = 1.6(5)
y = 8
y = kx
8 = 1.6x
8/1.6 = x
x = 5
