20.

Part A :

The total number of shells collected by Alex is,

\begin{gathered} =36+95+115 \\ =246 \end{gathered}

The total number of shells collected by Erika is,

\begin{gathered} =82+108+28 \\ =218 \end{gathered}

Clearly, Alex collected more shells. She collected a total of 246 shells.

The number of shells that Alex collected more than Erika is calculated as,

\begin{gathered} =246-218 \\ =28 \end{gathered}

So, Alex collected 28 more shells.

Part B :

Observe that the highest number of shells in Alex's table is 115 which corresponds to the Clam type of shell.

Similarly, the highest number of shells in Erik's table is 108 which again corresponds to the Clam type of shell.

Thus, it can be concluded that Alex and Erik both have the highest number of shells of the type Clam. Alex has 115 and Erik has 108 Clam shells.
