so 3:4
3 units of boys
4 units of girls
42 total
42=girls+boys=4 units+3 units=7 units
42=7 units
diivde by 7
6=1 unit
how many girls
4 units of girls
6 times 1 unit=6 itmes 4=24
24 girls
