1). Total cost for a rental = $12 just to talk to them + $8 per hour .

$44 = 12 + 8 (number of hours)

32 = 8 (number of hours.

2). 333 = 6 x (number of students on each bus) + 9 mores students

324 = 6 x (number of students on each bus) .

3). If all 3 numbers were the same number,
then each one would be 1/3 of 138. That's 46 .

Take 1 away from one of the 46s and add it on to another 46 .
Their sum is still 138, but now you have 3 consecutive numbers.

4). $150 = cost of 6 books + $12 left over.

$138 = cost of 6 books.

5). If all three numbers were the same number,
then each of them would be 1/3 of 84. That's 28.

Take 2 away from one of the 28s, and add it onto another one.
Their sum is still 84, but now you have 3 consecutive even numbers.

$3 of that was for the drink, so the 7 candy bars cost $28 .

10). If all three numbers were the same number, then
each one would be 1/3 of 105. That's 35 .

Take 2 away from one of the 35s and
add it onto another one.

They still all add up to 105, but now you have
three consecutive odd numbers.
