It was on the 6th of August 1945 when the United States dropped ‘Little Boy’, an atomic bomb, to Hiroshima and ‘Fat Man’ on Nagasaki on August 9 killing an estimation of 200,000 people. Some of the reasons for the bombing are the following:

*US wanted to end the war in an effective way (of winning) and fast strategy.

*Compensating the costly Manhattan project.

*The US wanted to make impression and possible partnership with the Soviet.

*US wanted to use their weapons as it is its sole purpose.

*Avenge of the Pearl Harbor tragedy.
