You are using the distributive property. You want multiply both the 5x and the 1 by 3 to get 15x+3 and then you want to multiply both the x and the 6 by five to get 5x+30. You are left with 15x+3+5x+30. Add together your likes, so 15x and 5x and 3 and 30. Your answer would be 20x+33. The easiest way to do you your math for equations like this is as following:

3(5x+1)+5(x+6)
15x+3+5x+30
20x+33

3 ( 5 x + 1 ) + 5 (x + 6 )

3* 5 x + 3 *1 + 5*x + 5*6

15 x + 3 + 5 x + 30

15 x + 5x + 3+30

= 20 x + 33

hope this helps!.
