0.35 x 1.5 = 0.35(1 + 0.5) courtesy of the distributive property of multiplication over division.
0.35(1) + 0.35(0.5) = 0.35 + 0.175 = 0.525
You know how to arrange these in columnar form, as though you were doing it by hand?
