$3.7 because if you you multiply 18.50 by 20 and divide my 100 you get 3.7

If there is a sale off of 20%, it means the discount is 20%.
The current price would now be = (100 -20)% = 80%.
80% of 18.5
= 80/100 * 18.5 Use your calculator
= 0.8 * 18.5 = 14.8
The sale price is now $14.80.
