A value that is two standard deviations from the mean is more likely to occur than a value that is three standard deviations from the mean. Your answer to this question would be True because by the very definition, values that are less standard deviations away from the mean are more likely to occur than values that are more far away from the mean.

That statement is true

Standard deviation refers to the amount of subject in a data population that does not possess similar characteristic as any other subject in the population. This deviation tend to be caused by extreme or abnormal circumstances, which is why two deviations is more likely to happen compared to three deviations.
